About the program: 

The Certified AI Literacy for Organizations (CAILO) program certifies individuals who demonstrate foundational understanding of artificial intelligence (AI) and compliance with the EU AI Act.

The certification supports the growing need for AI literacy among professionals who use, manage, or oversee AI systems in the European Union. Based on prior knowledge, the certification is awarded based on a successfully taken test.

Under Article 4 of the EU AI Act, all providers and deployers of AI systems must ensure that their staff and contractors have a sufficient level of AI literacy. 

This includes:

• Understanding what AI is and how it works
  
• Knowing which AI systems are in use
  
• Recognizing the risks and limitations of AI
  
• Being aware of ethical and legal responsibilities
